Gawain's Word is a main recurring segment on Between the Lions. This segment is hosted by Gawain, a knight who wears a suit of armor.
Gawain is an allusion to the character of the same name from the King Arthur stories. The title "Gawain's Word," is a spoof of the Saturday Night Live sketch Wayne's World, with Gawain's manner of speaking echoing that of the Wayne Campbell character from those sketches.
