SCENE 1 | Click is helping the lion family weed out old VHS tapes when the cubs come across a video titled "Sausage Nose". Since it's only a short film, the family decides to take a break and watch it. The film stars Faith Prince as a woman whose husband (Walter Bobbie) is arriving home soon in Sweden, but all they have to eat for dinner is a singular radish. Then, a strange old lady (Marilyn Sokol) comes and asks if she can have the radish, and the lady obliges. In return, the strange old lady gives her three wishes, and the woman uses her first wish for a sausage. When her husband arrives home, he is angered that his wife could have wished for anything else in the world. He sarcastically wishes the sausage was stuck to her nose, and to his surprise, it comes true. The couple doesn't know what to use the last wish for as they both have different opinions, so they decide to to to the library...
SCENE 1 (cont'd) | ...which turns out to be the Busterfield Library! The couple asks the family for help, and Cleo suggests that maybe they could wish the sausage off the woman's nose, but they reject that idea in favor of wishing for something better. The problem is, the couple has been poor for so long they don't know what there is to wish for. Lionel says that there's a lot of stuff they could wish for, so they decide to browse a few of the library's many catalogues to see what there is. Cleo and Theo decide to stay behind as they have to keep doing their work.
Insert | Walter Pigeon says that he found the sausage nose very attractive, and Clay agrees as it reminds them both of a beak. Busterfield says that that reminds of him of how ridiculous this all is. (As if he needed reminding.)
Insert | The Gray Hand removes the "ish" from the word "wished".

Insert | Color Patterns: fish, fib, rib, rub, tub, stub, stuff
SCENE 2 | The couple is now browsing several magazines at once to see what they could wish for. The cubs suggest several ideas, but by now the couple has become lost in thought before the cubs tell them to snap out of it. The man says they never knew that there was so much stuff to wish for, and the two break into song about all the stuff they might need.
SCENE 2 (cont'd) | The couple is still having a hard time deciding what to wish for. They start mocking and rejecting each other's ideas, and the wife calls her husband cuckoo for asking about race cars. Lionel remarks to Leona that this isn't going very well.

SCENE 3 | The couple still hasn't decided what to wish for because they both have different ideas. They start calling each other cuckoo, to the point where they decide they want to break up, making everybody cry. Theo and Cleo rush over to see what all the commotion is, and Leona tells them what is happening. To get everybody to stop, Theo pulls out a whistle and blows it (Which the man shows admiration for, upsetting his wife even more). Cleo reminds them of how happy they once were when they didn't have any wishes, and Theo adds that nothing could possibly make them happier than each other. At the realization of this, the couple decides to come back together, and the man tells them to pop the video back in, as they're now going home. The lions say goodbye, and then rush back to finish the tape.
SCENE 3 (cont'd) | At the end of the video, the man decides to let his wife wish for what she wants, and she wishes for the sausage off her nose and on the plate, however, she doesn't stop there. The couple continues on the same wish until they have everything they could want, thus wishing for more wishes. Once they finish, they decide to eat the sausage, but the man decides his wife should have it as it was the same sausage that was on her nose, and he jokingly says that a radish would do just fine. As the credits for the video roll, Leona says that she likes foreign films, and Lionel agrees.
Insert | Busterfield wishes all of this would go away, and his wish comes true- the screen poofs to black, ending the episode!
Designated Reader | Theo and Leona read "The Popcorn Popper". (Version 2) (EKA: Episode 05: Shooting Stars) |
