There's a knock on the door, and when Sam tells his potential client to enter, in walks a jar of raspberry jam. Sam's voiceover narration initially reports that the lady is "in a real jim," but Sam corrects himself: She's in a real jam.

A Real Jam (aka A Real Jam Jar) is an installment in the Sam Spud: Par-Boiled Potato Detective series. It teaches the short "i" and "j" sounds.

Plot

Sam Spud is working late one night, typing on his typewriter as the neon sign outside his window is on the fritz (literally blinking the words "the fritz"). There's a knock on the door, and when Sam tells his potential client to enter, in walks a jar of raspberry jam. Sam's voiceover narration initially reports that the lady is "in a real jim," but Sam corrects himself: She's in a real jam.
